August 28, 2019: Non-Consensual Sexual Contact

The Notre Dame Police Department has received a report of an incident of non-consensual sexual contact that occurred in the early morning hours of August 25, 2019 outside Brothers Bar & Grill in the Eddy Street Commons. 

A female student was outside the business when she was inappropriately and non-consensually touched by an unknown male. The male has not been identified but is believed to be of student age. The suspect was described as a white male with sandy blonde hair, no facial hair, blue eyes, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slender build. The victim reported that the suspect used an Australian accent, but was uncertain of its authenticity. It was also reported that the suspect approached several other females in the same vicinity and on the same night/morning of this incident.

The Notre Dame Police Department has been in contact with our partners at the Saint Joseph County Special Victims Unit about this incident, and we will continue to work together for the safety of our communities.
