The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit has alerted the Notre Dame Security Police Department that it is investigating a potential homicide that occurred in the parking lot of Governor Joseph Kernan Park. The parking lot is adjacent to the McConnell Family Boathouse which is used by the Notre Dame rowing teams. The incident occurred between 3:30 - 4:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 23, 2018.

A second person was with the victim at the time of the incident and has not yet been located. At this time, there is no suspect information available.
