The South Bend Police Department has alerted the Notre Dame Security Police Department of an aggravated assault with a firearm that occurred at approximately 4:00 AM on March 25, 2018 in an alleyway of Eddy Street Commons behind 1234 North Eddy Street.  It was reported that several shots were fired at a vehicle leaving the area after a disturbance.

At this time, there is no suspect information.

The Notre Dame Security Police Department has been in contact with our partners in South Bend about this incident, and we will continue to work together for the safety of our communities.

If you have any information regarding this assault, please contact the South Bend Police Department, and if you are a victim of a crime please report it to local authorities.

If you become aware of a disturbance or fight, leave the area as quickly as possible and seek protection.  Once you have reached a place of safety, call 911. If this is not possible, hide and seek shelter in a place where you will be safe until the danger has passed.
