Reserved Parking

The Reserved Parking Program, available to faculty and staff members, serves as a convenience to those seeking a permanent parking space. To participate in this program, faculty and staff members must enter a lottery to request a space based upon their first, second, or third choices in any lots containing reserved parking. Reserved spaces are available in the Bookstore, Dunne, Grace, Library, ROTC, Stadium, Stayer and Wilson Faculty/Staff lots. There is no cost to participate in the lottery, and by registering for the lottery, it is not guaranteed you will receive a reserved parking space. If you are not currently enrolled in the reserved program, but would like to be included in the lottery; please complete this form.  Individuals currently in the program will hold their assigned parking space until they decide to opt out; additionally, if you are currently in the program but would like to move to a different space in a different lot, please complete this form.

Cost

As of July 1, 2019, the annual cost for a reserved space will increase to $528 ($44/month). From 2012 through June 30, 2019 the annual fee remained $480 ($40/month). This fee is evenly divided and paid as a pre-tax deduction from the individual’s paycheck each pay period. The Reserved Parking Program is ongoing and the fee will be reviewed annually with the potential for changes to occur at the beginning of each fiscal year.

History

The University introduced the Reserved Parking Program in 2012 and expanded the program on a pilot basis in 2015 in one effort to address day-to-day parking of faculty and staff members. Since the expanded program was only established as a pilot, reserved spaces were not reassigned as they became vacant. Instead, the spaces were marked as ‘open’ for general use. As part of a thorough review of the program, the University's Parking Committee conducted a survey of the campus community in 2017 and found there was strong interest in the program continuing. Based on those findings, the Parking Committee agreed that the University should continue the Reserved Parking Program. As a result, the vacant spaces are now re-assigned using a lottery system.
