Broad Representation on the Appeals Board
The Appeals Board is made up of members of the faculty, staff and student body. No one from the Security Office or Parking Services Office is a member on the Board.

Appeals Must Be in Writing

Appeals should be made in writing by completing an appeals form (found here) and submitting the traffic citation (if available) or by accessing your violations through iNDCars.

Please note: Citations can only be appealed online if it is not your first citation received in the academic year. Additionally, citations can only be appealed online to individuals that are part-time or full-time faculty/staff or students.

We Will Write To You After Your Ticket Is Reviewed
Your appeal will have a fair review by the Board. The Board meets just once a week so it may take up to two weeks to review your appeal and send you notification. The decision of the Board will be communicated to you in writing. Please, do not call or stop at the Parking Office to find out the decision. We will write to you as soon as a decision is reached.

Notification Upon Review
Your appeal will have a fair review by the Board. The Board meets once every two weeks. The decision of the Board will be communicated to you via e-mail.

You Can Re-Appeal in Person or in Writing

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the appeal, you may re-appeal the citation by writing another appeal or by appearing in person before the Board. The second review and finding by the Appeals Board is final.

The Parking Services Office is located in the Notre Dame Police Department and is open from 8:00 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. They can be reached at (574) 631-5053.
