Student Parking Permits

2026 Summer Permits will be on sale starting May 1, 2026

Summer student permits  can be purchased online through ParkND or in person at the Parking Services Office during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). 

• Summer permit cost for the 2026 summer is $125.00 (charge is sent to the IrishPay account).
• All University of Notre Dame students are required to register their vehicle and must display a valid permit on their vehicle to avoid citations and possible impound.

Temporary Permits

Temporary student permits can be purchased at the Parking Services Office for $35.00 per week ($7.00 per day). This charge is also placed directly on the student IrishPay account. The permit must be displayed on the vehicle. 

Important Permit Information

• Students must adhere to University Of Notre Dame Parking Rules And Regulations (PDF, 48k).
• Student Parking Permits are not valid in the Legends Restaurant Patron Lot, the Bookstore Retail 1-Hour Parking lot, or in any gated faculty/staff lot during regular business hours (6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.).
• The student permit has a repositionable seal and may only be transferred to another vehicle registered on your ParkND account.
• Limit one permit per student.
• Replacement cost for lost permits will be the full amount of the permit ($300.00).
• Whether you purchase online or in person, student permits are automatically billed to your student account.
• Permits will not be mailed. You will receive a "purchase confirmation" email, followed by a "ready for pick-up" email from the Parking Services Office within 1 to 3 days (dependant upon day/time of purchase).
• Students traveling abroad for the second semester can return their permit to Parking Services for a partial refund. However, the vehicle must be removed from campus.
