What are cyber attacks?
Cyber attacks - including data breaches, identity theft, and phishing - trick people into disclosing personal information such as credit card or banking information, usernames and passwords, social security numbers, and addresses to steal personal identities, benefit financially and/or steal sensitive information.
How can I prevent cyber attacks?
- Use a password manager such as 1Password and create strong passwords.
- Enable multi-factor authentication, such as Okta verification or a code sent to your cell phone.
- Educate yourself on how to recognize phishing scams.
